Toby is Simprints’ CEO and one of our co-founders. He’s passionate about using cutting-edge technology to solve challenges in global health and international development.
Toby has ten years of experience with international field projects, operations management, and non-profit work. He’s been recognised as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur, TechCrunch: Best Tech Leader and Schwab Social Entrepreneur of the Year.
Alexandra is our Chief Product Officer and one of our co-founders. She led the creation of Vero – our market-leading hardware and the first of its kind created for the international development sector.
She’s leading our team of engineers to develop machine learning-based biometric recognition models and exploring the application of cutting-edge research in privacy-preserving biometrics.
Alexandra is a Gates Scholar who won the Women Who Tech Award in 2017, was listed in the Top 50 Movers and Shakers in BioBusiness the same year and is an Elevate Prize winner.
Tristram is our Chief Technology Officer and one of our co-founders. He designed and created SimprintsID – our groundbreaking app, the world’s first open-source digital ID platform with privacy at its core.
Tristram leads our technical strategy and heads the team’s security and infrastructure. He led the creation of SimAFIS, our Android-first fingerprint algorithm, and most of our internal systems.
Tristram has a decade of software experience, and he’s been recognised as a Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur and won the TechCrunch: Best Tech: Changing Children’s Lives For Good Award.
Tara is our Chief People and Culture Officer. She led the implementation of a four-day workweek at Simprints, improving retention and employee satisfaction, particularly regarding work-life balance.
Simprints has won several prestigious awards under Tara’s leadership: #39 in Newsweek’s Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces, Top 100 of Flexa’s most flexible workplaces, and top placements on UK Great Place to Work lists, including special categories for Wellbeing, Non-profits and Workplaces for Women.
Tara was named a Flexa Pioneer in 2023.
Stephen is the Chief Delivery Officer at Simprints. He joined us from World Vision, where he was Head of Office for Syria and Turkey.
Stephen has experience with other NGOs, including as Country Director with Action Against Hunger in Pakistan and as Syria Response Director with Oxfam. He’s worked in several countries, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Uganda, Mozambique, and Mali.
Steve has experienced directly how real-time, verified, and quality data is essential for delivering impact.
Eje is our Director of Partnerships. She has over 15 years of experience in business development and strategy from the private, education and international development sectors.
Eje has experience of impact investing and multi-million income generation with Pearson, World Vision and the University of Oxford.
Chris is the Director of Engineering at Simprints. He is a highly determined and motivational leader who derives satisfaction from solving problems and enabling teams to progress toward strategic objectives and achieving goals.
With over 18 years of experience in the software development industry, Chris brings a highly technical background to his role. Recently awarded an Executive MBA with distinction from Warwick Business School, he applies a data-driven and logical approach to decision-making and problem-solving, ensuring efficient and effective outcomes.
Leah is our Director of Solutions Delivery and helps ensure our projects are designed, built, and optimised to deliver impact while continuously innovating.
She joined us from Viamo bringing over 13 years of experience in evidence-based strategy and scaling for programmes and products in the development sector.
Kiyo is our Director of Finance and is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial planning and analysis, reporting, compliance, and financial strategy.
Before joining Simprints, Kiyo worked in private equity and banking where he specialised in healthcare and real estate lending.

Raj Kumar is a visionary leader who has spent over two decades shaping the global development community through his work as Founding President and Editor-in-Chief of Devex. With a background in humanitarian council chair roles at the World Economic Forum and Council on Foreign Relations, Raj has had the privilege of meeting aid workers and professionals from more than 50 countries. He is also the author of “The Business of Changing the World,” a comprehensive guide to the ideas, people, and innovations transforming the aid sector.

Dr. Amir Aman Hagos serves as the Country Operation Lead at the Global Financing Facility: World Bank.
In his previous role as Ethiopia’s Minister of Health, Dr. Amir achieved notable successes in maternal and child health, as well as human resource development. As a prominent healthcare influencer on the African continent, he has championed transparency, performance management, and accountability within the Ministry of Health.

As Founder and Chairman of Fine Capital Partners, an investment firm established in New York City in 2004, Debra has a strong background in governance, finance, and investment. She also sits on various non-profit boards, focusing on global humanitarian relief, education, and poverty alleviation. Debra is a seed investor in social enterprises promoting financial inclusion domestically and internationally. Her educational credentials include an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Yale University.

Radhika, a seasoned engineer, has a storied career at Google. She led the Ads team in 2000, then developed core web search and founded Google Images, which grew to over 1 billion queries per day within eight years. Later, she built Google Travel Search to aid users in travel planning. With roots at University of California, Berkeley, Radhika has been a driving force at Google since its early days. Now, she dedicates herself full-time to empowering mission-driven startups. As a board member and advisor, she supports organizations like Nexleaf Analytics, Simprints, Educate!, and more.

Sankar now focuses on independent consulting in the not-for-profit sector. He works with clients to develop sustainable solutions for healthcare, education, and inclusive development, as well as enhance leadership skills. Sankar serves on multiple company boards, having previously been Pro Vice Chancellor at Ashoka University and an external advisor to McKinsey & Company. A Mensa member and National Talent Scholar, he holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad).

Jon is a social entrepreneur, innovator, and dynamic leader with extensive mobile technology expertise in both low-income and high-income settings. As Co-founder and CEO of Dimagi, Jonathan has overseen the growth of the company from the founding team to over 100 employees worldwide that operate programs in over 50 countries.
Jonathan holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. Jonathan is a visiting scientist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital Decision Systems Group and a lecturer at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.

In addition to being on the Advisory Board at Simprints, JL sits on the Boards of numerous Salesforce investments and holds an MBA from the University of São Paulo.

Notable achievements include developing the prototype for the world’s first operational SmartGate, advising government agencies, and authoring reports for international organizations like the World Bank and UN Counter-Terrorism Directorate.
